Braies Lake
Braies Lake is a small alpine lake that is located in South Tyrol, 97 km from Bolzano.
Alto Adige, otherwise called South Tirol, is known for its natural beauty, lakes, UNESCO Heritage Mountains, the Dolomites, and uncontaminated landscapes.
For mountain lovers the Dolomites are perhaps like Swarovski for precious things lovers. In summer or in winter the landscape changes but is always very fascinating.
The lake,with its crystal-clear water of turquoise green, is at a height of 1500 meters in Alta Pusteria surrounded by an immense massif 2810 meters high, "La Croda del Becco”.
The best trained can get to the top of the summit to admire a breathtaking landscape but you have to climb uphill for at least 4 hours.
While if you want to make a quieter walk (about an hour) you can take a walk along a trail around the lake.
Cycle trips, boat or picnic trips can be arranged.
